There are lots of cases in e-retail when your competitors sell identical to your products but in different packaging or volume. This situation is very common among retailers of construction materials, pet food, office stationery.
- You sell the item one by one - your competitor sells the same item in packages (like beer case of 24 cans)
- You sell the items in packages - your competitor specifies the price per piece or kg/pounds, and so on.
In order to leverage the difference in the price offer, Сompetera suggests adopting the use of coefficients in the Dashboard with reference to each client's SKU.
Where the Coefficients menu can be located
Open the section Products. Locate the SKU of interest. Pop up the east side product card by double click the product. Locate the coefficients menu.
Open the coefficients menu. From this tab, the user can set specific coefficients to each price proposition. Click add and set coefficient.
The system accepts integers and fractions (2;54;1.4;0.5). It can also interpret formulas.
In a few minutes, the new price will automatically record the system log. In order to delete coefficient, set digit 1, and the price from the website will recover.
The new price will be outlined in the exported product report as well as in the Dashboard.
