What parameter scanning status describes?
Data scanning is one of the critical parameters that should be checked at your first log into the dashboard. This indicator is responsible for the completeness and relevance of the scanned data.
- This index consists of three components: Data freshness - shows when the data points were delivered. Data collected - shows % of data points delivered according to the schedule. In dashboard - shows how many products and competitors are in the dashboard and % of recently updated matches.
- Small % (less than 85%) may be caused by a post-processing error or crawler damage. It means that the data is collected but failed to be transferred to the dashboard on time. Crawler damage may be caused by many technical reasons, major of which is an HTML or page-proof changes. It also can happen due to the client's website changes or by adding many new products.
- As far as scanning % consists of three parameters, both new unmatched products cold cause low % or errors identifying your competitors' products.
- The other reason is missing links to the competitors' products. If the link redirects to the main menu or Http//:404 page, the product has been deleted from the website and is causing the scanning to underperform.
In other words, you have added new products that have not yet completed the full process of matching, and that is why the scanning of your products will not be completed at 100% level, but only in part on the products which link available.
